iKidz Training and Consultancy Limited has been granted the UK distribution rights for the LazyTown SportsClub ready for it's launch into the UK market at the 2012 Fitpro Convention at Loughborough University.

iKidz Training and Consultancy's Managing Director Chris Sharman has been working with global children's brand LazyTown since early 2011 on the development of the programme, which has recently been launched into Mexican Health Club chain Sportsworld. 

A recent feature within Indoor Play Magazine shines the spotlight on the launch of iKidz Activity Clubs in Oxford and Banbury during 2011 and the thoughts iKidz T&C staff Chris Sharman and Rachael Pountney have on the Indoor Play industry.

Chris and Rachael open the lid on their feelings of a ‘closed shop’ mentality and how sharing and supporting can drive the industry over the coming years. 

Sunday 4^th March saw 170 football coaches from across the UK trained in Challenger Sport’s new Mini Kickers programme, ready for delivery across America this summer.

iKidz T&C Director Chris Sharman, who has previously worked with Challenger Sports on the development of a Freestyle Football Academy and a Brazilian themed soccer camp, has been developing the pre-school soccer programme with the America firm over the past 6-months. After a pilot across a couple of states last autumn, Challenger Sports is now looking to rollout further after 170 new coaches have been trained to deliver it. 

iKidz T&C is pleased to welcome fitness and dance specialist Erica Ryder onto the team as a Consultant and Master Trainer.

Erica has more than 18 years experience in the health and fitness industry and holds a wide spectrum of qualifications that cover group exercise, personal training and relaxation therapy.

Erica started her career as a personal trainer and group exercise instructor.  She has a background in dance and theatre studies and has a passion for all styles of dance.   Erica teaches a variety of dance based fitness classes to both adults and children.

After nearly a year in development, January 13^th and 14^th saw the launch of The LazyTown Sports Club… in Mexico City!

iKidz T&C Director Chris Sharman has been coordinating the development of the programme on behalf of Fitpro and global children’s brand LazyTown (based in Iceland). Chris and fellow iKidz consultant Erica Ryder have been working with LazyTown to develop a children’s activity class integrating sport, dance, creative story telling, music and games. Classes run for 3-7 year olds and are delivered by specially trained and selected SuperHero Trainers.

iKidz Training and Consultancy Limited is pleased to welcome leisure industry expert Rachael Pountney as it’s new Operations Director.

Rachael has over 20 years of experience working in both the leisure and tourism industries, most recently working as Managing Director (Operations) for sister company iKidz Limited

Saturday 26^th November saw the launch of the second iKidz Activity Club at the Bridge Wharf estate in Banbury, Oxfordshire. Previously trading as an independent operation called Wizz Kids the site has been closed and completely refurbished to fall inline with the iKidz branded model.

iKidz Banbury follows the successful launch of the company’s first iKidz Club in Oxford earlier this year. Refurbishment works include the addition of a new under 3’s toddler area, an interactive ball pool zone, a giant orange spiral slide from the club’s newly refurbished party room, a new reception area and a Costa Coffee lounge with internet stations and free wi-fi for adults.

iKidz Training and Consultancy Director Chris Sharman was interviewed recently for fitness industry magazine Fitpro Business.

Chris has been working as a Programming Consultant for Fitpro since early 2011 overseeing the development of The LazyTown SportsClub product along with the redevelopment and rebranding of the company’s old FitClub programmes; TeamJam, TeamEnergy and TeamCombat. 

Staff at Club-V (Virgin Active) locations across the UK have been supported with a new online web-portal providing session plans for their holiday camps thanks to work by iKidz T&C Director Chris Sharman.

Chris, who provides regular Childcare and Children’s Activities support services to the UK Health Club chain (with over 120 Clubs) has written a detailed Activity Camp plan for the October Half Term holidays, sessions include both sports and art/craft sessions and have been written and uploaded to a bespoke web-portal so staff can access and print off the plans.

Today sees the launch of iKidz holiday activity camps and the warehouse sports hall at the iKidz Activity Club in Oxford.

Holiday Camps have been designed to run throughout the school holidays and cater for children aged 5-11 years. A fun-packed programme has been developed that includes and mix of sports and art/craft activities including; Swimming, Football, Clay Modelling, Golf, Ten-Pin Bowling, Mask Making and much, much more.
